What is it?

  • This course makes you a private pilot. After finishing you are able to fly airplanes for private purposes. This can also be your first step in the path to a professional airline pilot.

Content

The course contains at minimum:

  • 10 hours of ground theory training completed by a written exam.
  • 40 hours of flight training completed by a flight exam.
  • All flights contain pre-flight and post-flight briefings to be better prepared for the flights and by doing so reduce the amount of expensive flight training to a minimum.

Duration

  • The course duration is strongly depending on your availability and performance, but in case of full time availability and the right performance it is possible to finish in 3 to 4 weeks.

Price

  • Price of the course as described above is 8,700 USD.

FAA CPL, Commercial Pilot License

What is it?

  • With this license you are able to make a living out of your hobby and become a professional pilot. You can start working for hire.

Content

  • The course contains both theory as flight training. The content depends on your previous experience. Please contact us for a custom made program taking into account your previous experience.

Duration

  • The duration of the course depends on your previous experience, but count on around 2 to 4 weeks.

FAA IR, Instrument Rating

Instrument Rating

What is it?

  • This course is training you in flying under instrument conditions so you will learn to fly the plane on the instruments on board.

Content

What is it?

  • This course is training you in learning to fly a Multi Engine airplane.

Content

The course contains:

  • 5 hours of ground theory training.
  • The flight training is competency based, which means it purely depends on your performance. On average candidates need around 10 hours of flight instruction to get to the level required.
  • All flights contain pre-flight and post-flight briefings to be better prepared for the flights and by doing so reduce the amount of expensive flight training to a minimum.

Duration

  • Based on the content mentioned above and an average amount of 10 hours flight training the duration of this course is 1 to 2 weeks.

Location

  • The training must be performed on your own airplane. Location can be discussed.

FAA CFI, Certified Flight Instructor

What is it?

  • This course will train you in becoming a Certified Flight Instructor. When completed you can train other pilot candidates, conduct flight reviews and checkouts, perform discovery flights and much more. Depending on the market, your attitude and performance during the training you might be offered a job at our academy at the end of this course. Check our “employment” page for current job openings.

The course contains:

  • 50 hours of ground theory training completed by a written exam.
  • The flight training is competency based, which means it purely depends on your performance. On average candidates need around 15 hours of flight instruction to get to the level required.
  • All flights contain pre-flight and post-flight briefings to be better prepared for the flights and by doing so reduce the amount of expensive flight training to a minimum.

Duration

  • Based on the content mentioned above and an average amount of 15 hours flight training the duration of this course is 4 to 6 weeks.

FAA to EASA Conversion

What is it?

  • With this training you gain as an American (FAA) licensed pilot your European (EASA) license.

Discovery Flight

What is it?

  • Purpose of this flight is to feel how it is to be a pilot by controlling the plane and in the meantime enjoying the beautiful view of for example the Great Smoky Mountains or your hometown. The flight includes also a briefing to be better prepared.
  • Remark: It is possible for people to join in the back. Price remains as below, so you could spread it over multiple people.
